FAQ
Good questions.
Straight answers.
Taking the next step should feel clear. Here are the practical things worth discussing before a website takes shape.
Who is Björk Lab for?
Primarily small businesses that need a clear, personal website: local services, trades, cafés and salons, for example. We are based in Björkhagen, but can work remotely too. Tell us what you need so we can see whether the project is a good fit.
Can you improve our existing website?
Yes, we are happy to start by looking at what you have. Sometimes the content and design can be improved within the existing setup. Sometimes a fresh foundation makes more sense. It depends on the technology, access and what you want to achieve.
Do we need finished copy and photos?
No. We can help with structure, draft copy and image selection within the agreed scope. You provide accurate information about your business and approve the content. Images and other materials need appropriate usage rights.
How do you use AI?
AI is a tool in parts of our work, such as research, ideas, draft copy and code. We review the results and adapt them to the project. Business facts must be verified, and concept images should never be presented as real client projects or team members.
How long does a website take?
It depends on the number of pages, the features and how much material is ready at the start. Access to content and timely feedback also matter. We agree a timeline once we understand the project, before work begins.
How do we decide what is included?
We start with your needs and put together a proposal covering pages, content, features and reviews. Scope, responsibilities and commercial terms should be clear in the agreement. New requests are discussed before they are added.
Can we keep our domain and email?
It is often possible to keep both. We review your current setup and what needs to change. Access, responsibilities and any transfers are agreed before launch; a new website should not by itself require a new email address.
Who handles hosting and updates?
Before starting, we agree who is responsible for hosting, technical maintenance and content updates. Ongoing help can be discussed as part of the arrangement. Anything included needs to be stated in our agreement.
Who owns the website, and can we move it?
Ownership, access to accounts and source code, and handover or transfer terms need to be set out in the agreement. Fonts, images and external services may have their own licences. We discuss this before work begins so you know what applies to your website.
Can you add booking, more languages or other features?
We look at your needs and possible solutions together. Linking to an existing booking service is a different project from building a booking system. Features, languages and any external services are assessed and agreed before they are built.
Can you help us appear on Google?
We can work on clear page structure, titles, descriptions and readable content as part of the website. This provides a foundation for search visibility. Rankings, traffic and new customers cannot be promised; they depend on more than a website’s design.
What happens after launch?
You will know how the website is put together and whom to contact about changes or technical questions. Handover, any ongoing help and what happens when the relationship ends are covered in the agreement.
